Marsh-Winton

Located near Sun Valley, Idaho, the structural elements of a turn-of-the-century Vermont post and beam barn were preserved and reused to provide for guest accommodations, an art studio and storage for a sailboat. The client had been following our work in a variety of publications, and although small, he very much wanted a space that had personality. Aged barn board, old rusted metal and cedar shingles were the primary exterior materials, with weathered barn board, plaster, concrete and wood floors the focus of the interior. Now they have two equally appealing home bases: the boat or the cozy mountain home.
